Albert Rauss.
Rauss is the Ops Manager at the Angewandte Forschung GmbH orbital laboratory.
As such, most of the facility's staff have dealings with him on an everyday basis, much to their regret.
In the rest of the world, Germans have a reputation for ruthless efficiency and lacking a sense of humour - Rauss only fits the second half of that stereotype. He is, when all is said and done, a man who has been "sideways-promoted" into a position where he could do as little harm as possible. His work at the orbital station consists mostly of filing paperwork and sending weekly reports to head office. That, and making everybody's life miserable.
Word around the hab module is that Rauss only continues to be employed by Angewandte Forschung GmbH (and he never abbreviates the name to the generally accepted "AF") because of a family connection.
Unfortunately that family connection is not, apparently, enough to keep him from being assigned to the company's least-popular facility.

Connor.
Connor is the owner of Connor's Bar & Grill, a reasonably good place, just outside the Combat Zone, on the corner of 27th and Sterling.
He is not an imposing figure, being a little scruffy, and often seeming nervous and more than a little twitchy. His hair is dark, and long, and he usually looks as though he hasn't shaved for days. His eyes are grey (though that, of course, means little in these days of implants and gene rewrites) and never seem to stay focussed on one thing for long, darting about from place to place and thing to thing.
Put him in a suit, though, and his entire appearance changes.
Unfortunately, not for the better. Suits and Connor aren't really on speaking terms.
A much more imposing change takes place when he has something he specifically needs to discuss... he stands straighter, his eyes finally fix on the person he's speaking to, and he becomes much more confident.
