A compendium of the additional rules used in the campaign.


D&D3.0 rules, 32 point buy. Level 1. Maximum Hit Points.  Maximum starting gold.  Starting equipment can come from any of the listed sources. 

Sources permitted: PHB and DMG. Hero Builder's Guidebook, Arms and Equipment Guide, Sword and Fist, Defenders of the Faith, Song and Silence, Tome and Blood and Masters of the Wild.

Races: PHB only - dwarf, elf, gnome, half-elf, half-orc, halfling, human.

Starting Classes: PHB - barbarian, bard, cleric, druid, fighter, monk, paladin, ranger, rogue, sorcerer, wizard. DMG - adept, aristocrat, commoner, expert, warrior.

Feats: may be selected from any listed source.

Skills: may be selected from any listed source.

Alignments: no evil.

Prestige Classes: (when qualified for) may be chosen from any of the listed sources.

No psionics.


Replacement characters will be added ASAP. Level equal to:

(current party average level)-1. 

Starting gold would be standard for that level.


I really hate the whole Magic Item Shop thing. I feel that it seriously detracts from the worth and mystery of magical treasures ("Oh, yes, it's a +4 Holy Flaming Longsword of Awesome Smitingness. It's not worth picking up though. O'Flannerty's has a special on them this week - buy two, get a third for free.").

Only potions and scrolls can be purchased at Ye Olde Majick Shoppe. Other magic items are only available for purchase if they were previously sold to the merchant by the party. Purchase price would be at a fair mark-up from whatever the characters sold the item for, but never less than the list price.
